One thing I noticed this weekend was the huge support for our Ajax family. We watched several games and they were all the same, parents, family, coaches and so many green and white jackets filled the sidelines to help cheer on our players. It was great to see that even the ones who did not participate in the finals still came out to support all the Ajax players. It is not just about “Training the Ajax Way” here at Ajax it is teaching our players to love the game and to support and encourage all of our players.

Spooktacular Weekend for Ajax Teams

Competitive soccer allows little room for rest, relaxation and fun when we are gone every weekend attending games across Northern California. With seven new players added to the roster this year, it is impressive how quickly this team has come together to show well against quality teams. The girls have bought into the formation and tactics trainer Kico and Coach Leonard have been working on and it has been transferred to the field. They scored seven goals by six different players and posted four straight shut outs. It was truly a team effort.

Our Premier 99G team led by Coach Dennis O’Brien, won the GirlsU13 Bronze Championship by defeating Castro Valley United 5-0, Benicia Arsenal 5-0, Breakers 98G (Host club) 2-1, and Vacaville Thunderbirds 3-2 in the finals.
